Shoulder Dislocations

Increase your shoulder mobility with this warm-up exercise

Instructions

  1. Begin in a standing position while holding on to a dowel or broomstick across your thighs.

  2. Lift the dowel over your head and behind your back using a wide grip. This exercise will stretch your chest, shoulders, and upper back.

*Don’t worry, this exercise won’t actually dislocate your shoulders as the name implies, it just stretches them. Try not to overreach and don’t arch your back, maintain a natural curve in your spine throughout the exercise.

Equipment: Broomstick/Dowel

Muscles Used: Chest, Delts, Abdominals, Upper Back
